Narrative

As I sit in the quiet room, with a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and a keyboard in front of me my body tenses up. The thought of not being able to write music anymore makes my stomach queezy. I sit and think for many tiring hours. Nothing seems to come to me. As soon as I start to give up an idea rushes in my head like a sudden gust of wind. The page now fills up with notes, the pencil now writing more than ever and the keyboard blasting out a sweet glorious melody. My body loosens, my stomach settles, and the time seems to fly by. It all comes back to me. The once quiet room is now bursting in song.

Genre#3.......Lyrics

My Prayer

Verse#1:
You were my mother
You were my best friend
You were the only one I could depend on
In my times of need you were there for me
Oh Lord please tell me why she had to leave

Chorus:
This is my prayer when Im down on my knees
Begging God please to bring you back to me
This is my prayer
Reminiscing of all the memories we shared
Lord this is my prayer

Verse#2:
You would always make me laugh when I was feeling down
You'd turn my frown upside down
Missing you, missing your laugh, missing your touch, missing your love

Chorus:
Lord this is my prayer when Im down on my knees
Begging God please to bring you back to me
This is my prayer
Reminiscing of all the memories we shared
Lord this is my prayer

Bridge:
This is my prayer, my prayer to you
I need some guidance to help me through
I still don't know why you had to leave
Oh God please tell me

Chorus:
Lord this is my prayer when I'm down on my knees
Begging God please to bring you back to me
This is my payer
Reminiscing of all the memories we shared
Lord this is my prayer

The reallll intro!!!

For as long as I can remember I have been around music and singing. Music in general for me is more than just music. Although this may sound weird to some people music and singing has actually brought me through a lot of rough patches in my life and has also given me comfort and a sense of happiness during the good times . Not only does it help me by listening to it but it helps me even more when I write songs. The main reason I chose to write about this topic is because it is one of the most important things in my life and its something that I am passionate enough to write about and have had enough life experience with . The five genres that I am going to use for this paper are: Narrative-This section would allow me to tell my story about music and why I love it so much
Song- I think a Song would help me show how music makes me feel through a song
Poem- This would be where I show how music makes me feel when I'm either writing it or listening to it
Lyrics-I would write my own lyrics for this part and it would tell what music really is
Timeline-A timeline would show my musical growth posted by That Singer Gurl @ 2:45 PM

Genre #1......Poem

The sound of the drums
In tune with my heart
The melody of the song running through my veins
The voice of an angel sings through my soul....chilling my spine
It overwhelms me sending me into a trance
Music surrounds me as I
sleep,
walk,
live.
